Dave attended the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, then sailed as a merchant officer for several years. Dave then transitioned ashore with Cargill Inc., first in New York where he earned a masters degree from SUNY Maritime, and later in Geneva Switzerland. He joined JFD in 1990 and has focused primarily on customers in the grain trades. Dave has 4 grown children and resides with his wife in Westport CT.
